The Steps of Invisalign Treatment
Smile Design
The first step in your treatment process is taking images of your teeth with our intraoral scanner. We’ll use these images to map out your specific treatment plan and show you a digital representation of how your teeth will move. This software can help us determine how long your treatment will take and how many aligners you’ll need. We’ll send this information to the Invisalign lab where your custom aligners will be made. This entire process is digital to ensure a precise and comfortable fit.
Discreet Treatment
You’ll receive a series of clear aligners customized to your teeth. Starting with the first aligner in the series, you’ll wear each one for about two weeks before replacing it with the next in the series. To ensure your teeth are constantly moving, we recommend you wear your clear aligners between 20-22 hours a day, only removing them to brush, floss, eat, and drink. You’ll return to our office every 6-8 weeks so we can monitor your progress.
